Over 170 years of timeless tea craftsmanship in Uji, Kyoto—where tradition meets heartfelt dedication since the Ansei Era (1854–1860).

As a tea firm with over 170 years of Uji tea heritage, we invite you to discover a truly unique tea experience. Our café, set in a tastefully modernized tea factory from the Meiji and Taisho eras, offers seasonal welcome teas and delightful Japanese tea desserts, such as “Namacha jelly [matcha]” served in frozen bamboo tubes.

At our specialty tea shop, you can explore a diverse selection of teas and find your perfect match through tastings. At our main store, you can also try grinding tencha into matcha using a traditional stone mill. Complete your visit with our immersive “Tea Grinding and Tea Ceremony Experience” in the tearoom “Zuishoan,” where you can savor both rich and light matcha tea.
