A guardian shrine along the Yamato Highway that has long watched over and protected Ogura throughout history.

According to legend, a vast pond once lay near the shrine, and the Ogura clan, who lived along its shores, enshrined their ancestral deity here. Another account suggests that it was founded during the Heian period by imperial decree from Emperor Saga. The shrine is dedicated to four deities: Takemikazuchi-no-Kami, Futsunushi-no-Kami, Amenokoyane-no-Kami, and Hime-no-Kami.

Within the same grounds lies Ogura Shrine, where Amenoiwakusufune-no-Kami, the guardian deity of children, is enshrined.
