A temple that received the sacred Eternal Dharma Lamp from Enryaku-ji on Mount Hiei.

Blessed by the deities of Enryaku-ji, this temple is gaining recognition as a new spiritual power spot.

The temple's name, Shinge Shō Jippō Satsu (心華照十方刹) means, "The blossom of the enlightened heart illuminates all directions." This name reflects our prayer for Buddhist wisdom to bring hope to our society, allowing beautiful flowers to bloom in everyone's heart and their brilliance to illuminate across the world.

This temple is dedicated to the living and is not just a temple for Danka (Temple patrons or Buddhist Parishioners). It is not a place restricted to specific followers; rather, anyone with a sincere heart can come to pray and practice. It serves as both a spiritual space and a training ground for personal growth.

The Eternal Dharma Lamp has been kept lit for over 1,200 years at the Main Hall of Enryaku-ji Temple on Mount Hiei since the time of Saichō who was famous for high-ranked Buddhism propagation teacher. In July 1998, through a rare and special connection, Shinge-ji was granted permission to receive a portion of the sacred flame.
